Some secrets you take to the grave.
Others send you there!

All is not what it seems in the small town of Gotham Creek, a secluded yet successful community in Downeast, Maine. When teenager Eddie Speers discovers the brutal truth festering beneath his town’s pristine exterior–blood-hungry forest gods and a dangerous cult centered around ritual human sacrifice–can he save his sister from the Evil lurking amidst the trees or will the force that moves behind Gothan Creek claim another in a long line of victims?

“The Ravenous hooked me from the very first page . . . look out, Stephen King, ’cause there’s room for more than one great horror writer in Maine!” –J. Newman, author of Midnight Rain

“T. M. Gray has been a favorite of mine for years. Her prose is beautiful, her characters striking, her terrors subtle; like a shadow across the moon, or a sudden chill in a warm room. To read her is to love her.” –Brian Knight, Author of Feral and Dragonfly

“With The Ravenous, T. M. Gray ‘branches’ out into unfamiliar, yet interesting territories. Her horrors are firmly ‘rooted’ into the darkest of ’soil’, ‘leaving’ readers ’stumped’ and ‘barking’ for more. The Ravenous grows on you from page one!” –Michael Laimo, Author of Deep In The Darkness

“No, please! What can I do to appease you? To make things right? Just say the word and I’ll do it!”

The tree-being opened its arms wide. “There is only one way. Become one with me.”

Although fear seized Doc, he managed to stand up and face the glowing monstrosity. “What will happen to me?” he asked. “Will I burn up like the Chosen?”

The forest god roared. It was a horrible, anguished sound that echoed through the trees. “I consummate and consume—then I give again. That is my nature. You understand, for it’s your nature, too. But I tell you this: the Chosen will be a corrupt woman, unfit and unworthy. Do you not think my trees have ears? They hear and know everything! This is the only way now. Come to me. Let us become one and set the wrong to right.”

Doc shook his head. “But I’ll die if you touch me.”

“You don’t believe you deserve death,” the being bellowed, “but I say you do! I know what you did twenty years ago. You stole the Chosen from me. Have you forgotten? I never forget. Never. But she was mine in the end.”

Doc hung his head. “We were in love and planned to get married. It wasn’t fair—”
“I decide what’s fair! You are barely fit for priesthood. Choose your fate, little man. My brothers can smell you and they are ravenous…”
