The first Vampire Apocalypse book, A WORLD TORN ASUNDER was published in trade paperback by Black Death Books in September 2006. It received great reviews in genre media on both sides of the Atlantic. The film rights are under option by producer/screenwriter Richard Finney. An adaptation is in development with a script written by Richard Finney and Franklyn Guerrero. Kevin Donovan (The Tuxedo) is on board to direct. The project will be produced by Robert Lawrence (Die Hard: With a Vengeance) and is being packaged by CAA.
There are now three books in the VAMPIRE APOCALYPSE series. With the success of the first book, Black Death signed Derek for two further books in trade paperback editions: DESCENT INTO CHAOS was published in September 2008 and FALLOUT is being published in September 2009. The Graphic Novel rights have been licensed by a US indie publisher, New Baby Productions - a preview comic will be marketed at various comic cons in the US in 2010 and the first graphic novel is due to be released in 2011.
